Dr Simon de Jager

Dr Simon de Jager is a Urologist currently practising at Melomed Bellville. He completed a MBChB at the University of Pretoria with a distinction in Urology, Anaesthetics and Psychiatry. Dr de Jager completed his internship at Pietermaritzburg Hospital Complex. During the internship, he worked in various departments where he gained valuable clinical experience. He completed his community service at Kimberley Hospital Complex where his focus was on Urology, Family Medicine and Casualties. Dr de Jager worked in General Surgery at Khayelitsha Hospital and Greys Hospital. At these hospitals, he developed sound surgery cutting experience. Dr de Jager has a special interest in Endourology, Laparoscopic Surgery, Reconstructive Urology, and Oncology. He would like to get involved with robot assisted laparoscopic surgery some day.
